In this deep dive I talk about neon pigments specifically our very own NEONNEONUK neon pigments and what I have used them in.

I used white melt and pour to give a muted neon colour to our soap stars hand soap. As you can see from the pic the colours are vivid, bright and bold. They are colour fast and non-bleed. Even in a white soap base they will give an amazing pop of bright bold colour. When mixing, I added the pigments to the fragrance oil for an even distribution of the colour, before adding to the soap to be moulded.

Here you can see an example of cold process soap with our HARLEQUIN green neon, MARIGOLD neon Orange and PIXIE neon pink. These colours are amazingly bright bold and eye catching. Non-bleed and definitely not for the faint of heart! I added them to the oils for an even dispersion of colour throughout the soap bar.

Not to leave out crafters, here you can see all of our amazing neon pigments used in clear cast resin. The colours are non morph and pop vividly. They will blend effortlessly into resin giving all of the colour.

These cute as, little monsters magnets where created using a matching stamp and die set from tonic studios, air dry clay some googlie eyes and white acrylic paint mixed with our very own neon pigments. I used an ombré effect and a stippling motion to create a fur like texture, but you absolutely could sand them down to give a nice smooth finish.

Here you can see left over green neon paint from the monsters magnets, made with HARLEQUIN neon pigment,  being used with a stencil and sponge to create a gorgeous vibrant background for a card. Don't let it go to waste, have a Crafternoon and colour your crafting!

I also have my own formula of texture paste that is available to view on our YouTube channel, which I have used these pigments to add pops of neon to my card making.

If you'd like to make your own white texture paste you will need :
corn flour/ corn starch (depending on where you are in the world you may have a different name for it)
white, clear drying pva glue ( craft glue, construction glue of your choice)
white acrylic paint.

We spend it on thick to give a raised texture to our neon green and blue chrysanthemum stencil.

To add pops of awesome colour you can add small amounts of our neons to give excellent vibrant neon paste. Hop over to our YouTube channel and have a go at making your own paste :)

I have also added these pigments to my range of jesmonite products for an amazing bright neon to a light pastel tone in my casts. Each has its own merits depending on the colour you wish to achieve. A little really does go along way.
This tray was created using PIXIE neon pigment in the jesmonite mix and GOLDEN SUNSET mica brushed on the inside of the tray mould to give a smooth golden hue and pearlescent shimmer to the piece. I added flakes of rose gold leaf to the inside of the tray mould and finished it with a stamped gold foil decorative motive.

My range of handmade jesmonite household items from tealight holders to magnets will be available to purchase from end of March 2024 so stay tuned for those dropping.
